Carroll 5-4 in Basketball Season

Carroll Eagles took on Dothan Tigers Tuesday night, Dec. 12, in Dothan the Eagles lost a hard one 58-51 in the last quarter. Dothan led the entire first half, building a 27-15 advantage late in the second quarter.  But then the Eagles got hot, outscoring Dothan 12-2 to complete the first half in trailing just 29-27 at the break. Carroll ended the half when Trae Nance hit a 3-pointer from the wing that banked in followed by a McCray inside basket for the final points of the quarter.

Carroll then outscored Dothan 11-1 to begin the third quarter – the final basket coming on a shot from the top of the key by Pruitt – before the Tigers called the timeout and switched to the man-to-man defense to turn the tone of the game. The Tigers lead 47-43 with just over five minutes to play in the game. Carroll, however, kept battling and pulled even at 47-47 with still 3:44 left following two free throws by Daniel Pruitt. Dothan finished with a win.
