Carroll extends its regular season win streak

Defeats W.S. Neal 26-13

Carroll had home field play last Friday night against W.S. Neal. Quarterback Trey Buchanan threw a 12 yd pass to Tyquez Miller in the middle of the first quarter putting the Eagles on the board early. Near the end of the first quarter DQ Fryer blocked a W.S. Neal punt inside the 5 yard line and returned it for a touchdown. The Eagles were out front 14-0 before the second quarter. Going into halftime CHS kicker, Edward White, kicked a 23 yd field goal. Jacobey Hawthorne of W.S. Neal passed to Brahjon Taylor for a 35 yd touchdown. The Eagles went into halftime with a 17-6 lead over the W.S. Neal Eagles. Edward White kicked a 26 yd field goal  and Johnathan Fells rushed 32 yards for a touchdown near the end of the third quarter giving the CHS Eagles a lead of 26-6 over W.S. Neal.  Neal's running back, Marvin Maddox, rushed 5 yards for a touchdown in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Carroll wins with a score of 26-13. They finished the night with Fells having 25 carries for 101 yds and 1 touchdown. Mazue Martin finished with 7 carries for 39 yds. Markel Lewis 2 carries for 8 yds and Trey Buchanan 3 carries for 13 yds and 3 attempts, 2 completions and 1 touchdown. Carroll extends its regular season win streak to 18 wins dating back to the 2015 season. The Carroll Eagles will take on Rehobeth High School, Friday, Oct. 6 at home. Kickoff is 7:00 pm. Please come out and support the football team, cheerleaders and band. Patrons are asked to wear pink in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
